Well, there was once a letter wondering whether Ah Meng's corpse being put on display could poison our water supply.

And another one calling for the ban of backpacks on MRTs because 'they take up too much space'.

I read letters like these to console myself whenever I feel that I'm too stupid.

Ah Meng burial site a health hazard?
I JOIN the many Singaporeans saddened by the death of Ah Meng, our very own icon.

My letter is about Ah Meng's burial site. From what I have read in the newspapers, the site is close to the edge of Seletar Reservoir.

I am concerned over the potential health hazard to our water supply. Can the authorities comment on guidelines on burial grounds or sites?

Obviously the writer didn’t consider that the reservoirs in Singapore are already filled with animal fecal matter and rotting dead bodies.

He certainly never thought about people who must carry backpacks..... such as students, NSF recruits, and tourist backpackers.
